  • How does kinesiology work?
Kinesiology uses a simple tool that anyone can learn called muscle testing. Reading subtle changes in muscle response helps the kinesiologist to find where stresses reside in your body and where they originate from. This same technique is used to ‘match’ a correction to help the body come back to health and wellbeing.
  • How long until I feel better?
It varies from person to person depending on how complex the issue is and how long it has been present. I usually expect to see a significant shift after one session and resolution between one and three sessions.
  • How many sessions should I have?
I will make recommendations but it’s completely up to you. Some people finish up when their issue is resolved. Some people continue on with monthly wellness visits. Others pop in as issues come up for them.
  • Can kinesiology treat complex mental health?
Kinesiology is a complementary health therapy, which means that it works alongside the primary care that you receive from a GP, psychologist or psychiatrist. Kinesiology can help to support most people experiencing less complex metal health conditions such as anxiety and depression. In some cases, when the presentation or impact of a client's mental health symptoms fall outside of the scope of kinesiology practice, client's will be required to have a primary health care team in place in order to begin, or continue, kinesiology treatment. Occasionally, kinesiology care is not suitable at all. If you have mental health concerns please touch base to see if kinesiology treatment would be suitable for you renee@consciouskinesiology.com.au or 0401 484 417. • Can kids have kinesiology?

  • I’m just curious about kinesiology, can I have a shorter session?
In order to have a fulfilling kinesiology experience it’s important that a thorough history is taken. This helps me to link together the information in a cohesive and understandable way for you. 75 minutes is just enough time to gather all the information I need and treat you effectively.
  • How does it work online?
The process is very similar to a face-to-face consult. Through a secure Telehealth meeting I surrogate test on your behalf to access the information needed to clear your stresses. I guide and support you to apply the corrective techniques to your own body. This allows you to experience all the benefits of kinesiology from the comfort of your own private space or from anywhere in the world. All you need is an email address & a device – computer, laptop, iPad, tablet or a phone. I’m here for any tech support you may need.

  • How long have you been doing kinesiology?
14 years. I graduated from the Australian College of Complementary Medicine with a Diploma of Health Sciences (Holistic Kinesiology) in 2008. In recent years I have created my own approach to kinesiology with a particular interest in the brain and begun to mentor promising kinesiologists who are commencing practice. I’m registered with the Australian Kinesiology Association.
  • Why do I have to pay a deposit to book my first appointment in South Melbourne?
The South Melbourne clinic is very busy and I often have a waitlist of clients needing care. When new clients don't show up for their appointment or cancel with little notice there is not enough time to offer the slot to someone else. A deposit helps new clients commit to care and ensures that I am working effectively during my time at the clinic.
  • What happens to my deposit if I change my mind or I need to reschedule?
If you cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment then your deposit can be either refunded or the credit can be held on your account for your rescheduled booking.
  • What happens to my deposit if I don't show up to my appointment or cancel late?
If you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours notice or do not arrive for you appointment the deposit covers the late fee as agreed to via the booking confirmation process.
